Bjørn Haugland
Professional:
In 1985 Bjørn founded Feedback Research, who in 10 years
became one of
Norway’s largest and most profitable research companies
In 1996 he founded FIRM who in 8 years have become the globally
leading online
market research software companies, with offices in Oslo,
London,
New York and San Francisco.
Bjørn has been a board member of the Norwegian Market research
society (NMF).
Very few have Bjørn’s combined knowledge of local and global
research agencies and
processes as well as software development expertise.
Private:
Bjørn is a man with a variety of interests, ranging from
adventures to culture and literature. He has both professionally
and privately travelled “the world” and has experienced much
more than most others.
Adventures:
• Skiing to the North Pole (spring 2000)
• Climbing the highest mountains in
- Europe, Mt Blanc (France) and Elbrus (Russia),
- Africa - Kilimanjaro
- Americas - Aconcagua (Chile)
- Himalaya - Mt Everest (base camp only)

-Have competed in the “The Great Challenge” (Styrkeprøven)
between Trondheim and Oslo (540 km) and other bike races in
Norway and abroad

One of the greatest
experiences in Bjørn's life was when he skied to the North pole in
the spring of 2000. The temperature was sometimes less than
minus 45 Celsius, you just did not
take you hat off for too long!


Bjørn is a keen singer at
the Guldbergs Male Choral
Society, one of the premier amateur choirs in Norway.
Established in 1916, the boys (disguised as men) in their black
and white attires, have been entertaining in Norway and around
the world. This fall, they had the pleasure of singing with
Bobby McFerrin.

The 29th of October is the "Official Viking Day" at the offices at
Language Logic! Co-incidentally it was the same day as Bjørn
showed up at their offices to sign the agreement!

The
FIRM employees gave Bjørn this beautiful gift, a compass
with the inscription “To Bjørn, out pathfinder, Thank you for
setting the path to success! From everybody at FIRM”. Peter Myklebust, FIRM’s CTO (and the first hired employee at FIRM)
gave Bjørn this beautiful farewell gift.

The signing of the reseller agreement is done, and now, back to
work for FIRM, but with a different perspective. Here is the
