Bjørn is a successful serial entrepreneur and a leader within the global research space. Visionary leader, enthustiastic, high personal drive, colorful.
Bjørn founded Feedback Research in 1985. It became the fastest growing and most profitable research company in Norway during his ownership. It was sold to Research International in 1995.
Bjørn founded Confirmit in 1996. Confirmit is a globally leading Internet based market research and dialogue Software Company. Oslo based with subsidiaries in London, Guildford, New York, San Francisco, Moscow and Yaroslavl. Listed on the Oslo stock exchange 2005
Bjørn and Even founded SurvAid in 2004.
Bjørn is also presently chairman of the Norwegian Market research association (Norsk Markedsanalyseforening).He is chairman of the board of Symphonical - a software company with the ambition of becoming a global infrastructure for orchestrating peoples lives.
Bjørn is also chairman of the board of ACTonFACT -"from dead facts to vital action". Bjørn is educated in Norway (Norw. School of Management (BI) and Norw. school of Marketing (NMF), in Germany (Kiel, Cologne and Bremen) and in USA (Pennsylvania).
Lectures/Speeches:
Bjørn is regularly invited to give lectures/speeches to industry and academia in Norway and other parts of the world. Lately he has chaired market research conferences- the latest being: "Markedsansalysens dag 07" - (The Research Day - the main research event in Norway) , "Hvordan lykkes på det helsebevisste markedet?" (how to succeed in the health concious market) and "Hvordan gjøre suksess på markedet for miljøvennlige produkter og tjenester?" (how to succeed on the market for environmentally friendly products and services)
His working languages are English and Norwegian, he is fluent in German, Swedish and Danish, and has some knowledge of French and Spanish.
Bjørn has also found time for other activities like skiing to the North Pole, climbing Aconcagua, Mt. Blanc, Elbrus, Matterhorn, Kilimanjaro and other mountains in Africa, the Americas, Himalaya and Europe.
He regularly attends long distance ski races as the 90 km long Vasaloppet (Sweden) and 5km long Birkebeineren (Norway)
He sings actively in the Choral society Sangselskabet Guldbergs Akademiske Kor and is a keen reader, mostly fiction.
